Pioneer Century

Rode the Pioneer Century with my buddy Chris Saturday in Oregon. Weather was awesome! Scenery was beautiful! The wind was not so fun. Man! I hate wind!
Had a great time. Was good to spend some time with Chris and catch up.

The Pits

First day back to school went well.  Had a few tests to make up and happy with the results.  Armpits are sore from all the crutching, but for the most part things went according to plan.

Up and At ‘Em!

Andie is doing well! Didn’t take any of the good-stuff yesterday and is back to school today. Getting around with and without crutches, we will see how she feels after a full day in the general population.

No School

Crutch-Master

Andie is getting around well with crutches (and a little without)

It’s Monday.  Andie is upset about missing school today, but I can’t let her go.

Yesterday was pretty good.  She hobbled around quite a bit without crutches, had a few visitors sign her…bandage, took very little painkiller, washed her hair 🙂 and did some homework.

The official word is “I am feeling better-ish, and can hobble a little without my crutches but mommy doesnt like that.  Surgery went very well (Dr. Duff said so) but I am super-sad I can’t come to school and I miss everyone there so much!  I better be back at some point tomorrow or I am going to be ANGRY!”

MacGyver

Sitting on the couch watching MacGyver with Andie. Things are going well. Only taking half the allowed painkiller dosage and still able to hobble to the bathroom (and crutch to the mailbox).
I’m her favorite Mnurse (the ‘n’ is silent) and trying to spoil her rotten.
Busy day planned: Ice. TV. Texting. Eating junk. Netflix. Email.

No more “Fill” (pronounced Phil)

Yaay! Andie is out and doing well. Dr Duff is THE MAN!
In recovery and hanging out. Can’t post the picture. Andie would kill me 🙂

Today’s the day

Ok. It’s surgery day. We are at the office early-early and waiting in the parking lot. Nobody here yet, but the sun is coming up and it’s gorgeous out!

Checked in and waiting.

IV was all she worried about and it went awesome.

Headed in now and I’m waiting like only a father can.

I do not like hospitals. Sitting here is tough. Planned on reading but…got no focus.

Lunch?

Can’t touch HID headlight bulbs with your hands, which makes the task quite fun. Changed Laura’s at lunch today in under an hour!

Soggy

I can only recall one other time being that wet watching soccer…never at the Sounders.
I suppose a tie is fitting for such a fierce rivalry.

We accidentally sat on the wrong side of the aisle (not the GA seats) and got kicked out just before halftime. The place was packed (even in the pouring rain) so we had to search for a new place to stand. Landed right behind John and Tim just before the first goal. Krazy crowd response.

Here is a video of us under the giant banners. When I say giant, I mean GIANT! They covered the sections from field to roof!
